About Me
I was born in Israel and immigrated to this country with my family when I was nine years old. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to become a lawyer, which is to say that I was a very argumentative child. During law school I clerked for a Magistrate Judge at the United States District Court Southern District of California, volunteered for the Innocence Project, and won first place in a trial motions oral argument competition. In 2009 I graduated cum laude from California Western School of Law. I began my practice with Juvenile Dependency Law. Juvenile Dependency cases involve allegations of child abuse or neglect and in many cases the child was removed from their parents care. My goal was to make sure children were in the homes of loving families where they would continue to be protected and flourish. Working in this area was difficult; however, I am grateful for the rewards of such meaningful work. In that experience I became familiarized with the needs and complexities of non-traditional families (foster, adoptive, guardianships, step-parents, etc.) and learned how to protect against abusive/neglectful parents. I use this specialized experience in my estate planning practice.
I have had many accomplishments in life, but my daughter is by far my best and I am so proud to be her mommy. When I met other parents, regardless of their age, I realized that many have put off estate planning because none of us want to consider our demise or how the people we care about most will deal with that loss. In fact, a whopping 78 percent of millenials (ages 18-36) and 64 percent of Generation Xers (ages 37-52) do not have an estate plan. And as a single working mother, I get it. The details of day-to-day life in Bay Area can be all consuming — finding a job that allows you to live here, sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic, driving kids to and from activities, searching for a house or an apartment in our pricey real estate market, taking care of elderly parents, and on and on. Finding the time to create an estate plan is frankly heroic given the pace of life here. Let me help by taking the stress out of estate planning and make an appointment that works with your schedule. I have assisted clients with small to large estates. I listen and respect every client’s wishes and will make sure that your estate planning documents reflect those wishes.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, being outdoors with my daughter, weight lifting, rock climbing, bouldering, and my newest hobbies, flying trapeze and martial arts.
